Junior Contato, Farm and Productive Landscape Manager at Anahita: “Our intention is to establish an interactive agriculture that harmoniously blend with the authentic environment.”

Agricultural landscaping is a central feature of the project,
and embraces the principles of smart agriculture. Junior Contato presents our approach for the smart city.

What is the role of agriculture at Anahita Beau Champ?

Agriculture plays a crucial role within the Beau Champ project. Our intention is to establish an interactive agriculture that harmoniously blend with the authentic environment. Accessible on foot, Anahita Beau Champ’s working Farm will span five hectares, embracing innovative and productive landscapes on a unique terrain. The slopes and valleys will be cultivated while preserving the natural beauty of the landscape.

Anahita Beau Champ comprises a residential offer.
How do you plan to harmonise agriculture and urbanisation within this context?

This project presents an opportunity for agro-ecological transition, combining agriculture and urbanisation while respecting the existing environment and the season cycles, allowing soil regeneration and creating a self-sustaining ecosystem. Soil regeneration and the culture of compatible crops will be essential to the success of the farm, particularly for endemic species and heirloom fruits like starfruit or jamblon, as well as vegetables to cater for the needs of the project and surroundings clients.

What other elements are planned for this project?

Fertile soil is vital for enhancing crop productivity and supporting water cycle and biodiversity for Anahita Beau Champ. For example, within the Spring Park, the landscape design takes into account the local microclimate, featuring plants that thrive in this environment, including vanilla, pepper, and ferns.

A dedicated 3,300 m² nursery will cultivate a diverse range of plants and trees for the site. This includes aromatic herbs, endemic plants, fruit trees, and vegetables. The primary objective is to promote agriculture, enhance quality of life, and preserve the authentic rural character of the region.
