What is the concept behind the development of Anahita Beau Champ?
Anahita Beau Champ is a project of Alteo Group, developed under the Mauritian government’s Smart City scheme. This means that 50% of the land is dedicated to residential purposes, and the remaining 50% is allocated for offices, services, or commercial use. At Anahita Beau Champ, the non-residential offer is primarily located in and around the former sugar factory, which will be fully rehabilitating.
What are the upcoming developments?
We plan to set up an educational hub, so parents residing here, or those considering moving to the East region, won’t have to travel long distances to take their children to school. Our development also includes access to sports activities.
From the smart city, we will have numerous tracks for walking or cycling. We are also delighted to welcome the RM Club, a well-known sports complex in Mauritius. Residents of our destination, whether it’s Anahita Beau Champ or Anahita Golf Resort, as well as inhabitants of the region, will be able to enjoy the various activities offered by this club, including fitness, tennis, and paddle, among many others.
What is your vision for economic development at Anahita Beau Champ?
Beyond these services, we aim to make Anahita Beau Champ a hub for development and research in agriculture and agronomy, which are central elements of our project’s philosophy. Therefore, we are working to attract cutting-edge companies in these sectors, here again with the intention of making Beau Champ a place where nature and innovation coexist.
In the near future, it will also be possible for other businesses such as retail or F&B outlets to settle at Anahita Beau Champ or to take advantage of the co-working spaces that are already present. Hence, our goal is to energise our region and make it a place to live, enjoy leisure activities, and to work in the heart of an unparalleled environment in Mauritius.
