Anahita Golf hosted, over three days, some of the finest professional golfers from India. Among them were Gaganjeet Bhullar, winner of 11 Asian Tour titles, Shiv Kapur, a leading figure of Indian golf on the international stage, and SSP Chawrasia, a two-time Indian Open champion and a model of consistency on the Asian circuit. The event took place from April 9 to 11.
The event was also graced by the presence of Leander Paes, a 1990s tennis legend and an icon of Indian sport. For the duration of the tournament, the idyllic setting of Anahita Golf was transformed into the stage of a high-level competition.
Anahita Establishes Itself as a Benchmark Competition Venue
Hosting a stage of the IGPL is no small feat. It reflects recognition of a venue capable of meeting the highest standards: a technical and well-maintained course, top-tier hospitality infrastructure, and an exceptional natural setting. These are the qualities that ensure an international event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.
This positioning aligns with a clear vision. As explained by Tristan Freslon, General Manager of the Anahita & Île aux Cerfs Golf Cluster:
“This edition of the Indian Golf Premier League was a tremendous success, confirming that Anahita Golf is a course designed to host major international competitions. With Anahita Golf and Île aux Cerfs Golf Club, we offer a must-visit golf destination in the Indian Ocean. Beyond golf, we can also rely on the teams at our hotel, The Bay Club at Anahita, to deliver a culinary experience that matches the quality standards for which our golf offering is known.”
Mauritius, for its part, naturally stands out as a prime destination for international golf: a unique setting where breathtaking landscapes and a favourable climate are part of the golfing experience.
The organisers’ reaction speaks for itself: impressed by the quality of the venue and the level of hospitality, they have already confirmed their intention to return in 2027.

A Hard-Fought Victory
After a tightly contested tournament, Sachin Baisoya emerged victorious. Consistent, precise, and unflinching in key moments, he mastered a demanding course to claim a well-deserved win that confirms his standing among India’s top players.
What also sets the IGPL apart is its commitment to having men and women compete side by side. In this regard, Ridhima Dilawari stood out with the best female performance of the tournament, demonstrating that she truly belongs among the elite.
A Momentum That Continues
Beyond professional competitions, Anahita maintains a busy calendar of amateur events throughout the year. The course also remains a prime venue for hosting future high-level competitions.
